How To Make Money From Home - Residual Income, Passive Income

How to make money from home to build residual and passive income that will continue to generate income for years to come. Passive and residual income are the means to generating income on a continual basis. There are different ways to do this, many of them are ways to make money from home.

First, what do passive income and residual income mean?

Passive Income

Passive income is an income received on a regular basis, with little effort to maintain it. Some examples are: rent from rental property, royalties from book earnings, ads or websites, and portfolio income from investments. For our purpose, these are examples of passive income, as once the original work is done, income is received on a regular basis from them with little or no effort. However, for tax purposes, the government may define passive income differently.

Residual Income

Residual Income is a regular income that continues to happen or has to be renewed on a regular basis in order to continue to receive benefits. It is the money that is left over after all expenses are paid.

Obviously, we want to have more money coming in then going out on a continual basis. Residual income can do this.

Passive income provides the means for us to establish a lifestyle we desire and still have a continual flow of income.

For those that want to establish or increase your passive and residual incomes, and make money from home, I want to go over a means of making money without the need to invest money to get started. You will need to first invest your time.

The way to make money from home and get started now is to write articles or blogs. If you don't have writing experience or feel that you are a good enough writer, hear me out - this is for you, too. Why? We are not talking about finding people who will pay you to write for them. We are talking about you writing for you (your enjoyment, your desire to communicate about something), and for the audience that desires to read about that topic. How do you do this? Where do you write? Well, there are 2 ways you can do this:

1. set up a website (wordpress) and write blogs about your topic.

2. sign up with Hubpages and write.

Now it does not cost anything to sign up with hubpages. Once you sign up, you can start writing. It is that simple. How do you make money with these articles? Hubpages monetizes their sites so that Google is already advertising on it when you complete your hub. You sign up with Google Adsense and hubpages splits the commissions from the ads with you. Basically, you choose to write about something your interested in and the site is monetized with Google Adsense.

Their are also other ways to make money with your hubs. Hubpages also has capsules. If you are an Amazon affiliate or Ebay affiliate you can use these capsules to advertise a product you are talking about in your article. You can also become an affiliate of other products and write about those. For those of you that want to start right away, you can sign up with Hubpages here. After you get started writing, if you have a favorite topic, you can make your own website to expand on it or continue to write more hubs about that topic. For your website to succeed, you need to understand how to build it, keyword research, title and so forth, so that you rate high in Google and other Search Engines. By doing so, you get free traffic to your site.

The advantages of writing on Hubpages and/or your own website(s), is that the websites stay on the internet. People will search for your information for years to come, and so you make money for years to come. So yes, it takes time to get your information written, but when you do, you can make passive income without doing anymore with those sites. A passive income while working from home.

When we talk about generating more income, especially residual and passive income, we want to make more money without having to work more hours over and over again. It is also good to ensure that if one source of income went away, you would still be generating enough income from another source. To live well and have a lifestyle more to your desire, you should have a few different sources of income, each of which generate enough money to pay your cost of living expenses. It may take time to build up to that point or beyond, but that is a good goal to put there.

Your first source of income would be the job you are working at right now.

You can start writing articles using hubpages to begin generating a second income.

You can create a website that goes along with some hobby you enjoy to monetize and possibly sell a product on.

Take what you know and what you enjoy and find ways to make money from home with it. When you get it up and running, then look for ways to expand it. In this fashion you will continue to grow your residual and passive income.

There is another means for establishing residual and passive income that I know of, and it works for me. This is a business you can work from home using the internet. It does not cost anything to get started. You do not ever have to spend money if you choose not to. The suggestions above are some ways you can begin to generate income from home. There are, obviously, other ways to make more money. There are also other ways to generate passive income, such as investing. Saving and earning interest on your money. There is a good book that is worth your time to read. It is another way to invest in yourself if you desire to make more money, have more money, generate passive and residual income, or become more aware of all that is available to you to begin to have a better lifestyle.
